Joe and Sharon giving talks 3 and 4 respectively

The Christian Life Program hosted by Singles for Christ Jacksonville continues with awesome talks, prayer, music, food and fellowship.  Session 2 went really well covering “What it Means to be a Christian” and “Repentance and Faith”.  Kudos to our team leaders, speakers, music min, DGLs and everyone in the service team.  We are thankful to all of you for your all-out support for our CLP participants.  Continue to pray for them and keep inviting your friends for Session 3 next Thursday,  May 8.  To God be the glory!

Live Out Loud!

Live out Loud
Live out Loud

For weeks now, Live-Out-Loud (LOL) has been saturating our facebook status, mailbox, calendar, blog, twitter, tumblr, etc., en masse.  Some of you got curious, others were status quo but most people were excited about the events that were unfolding.  SFCJax has taken the Christian Life Program (CLP) from a traditional event into a more out-of-the-ordinary and deeper  personal-level experience.  Notwithstanding the challenges of being a single, we attested that we can live a full life with a rock-solid faith and with the support of our family and community.  The bond that was formed promised a new beginning, a new direction, a new era.  Kudos to our LOL Core group led by our fearless leader Immanuel/Noel/Weng, the Live-Out-Loud Finale brought sheer joy that reduced any doubts about the future to nothing.

Help me in welcoming the new addition to our family, Sharon, Glenn and Armand!  Thank you for sharing your lives with us.  We are blessed to have you in SFC.  It was such a rewarding experience to witness the miracles of God in each of you.

Quite a Celebration!

You Provided

Dear Almighty Father God,

I can’t stop grinning ear to ear . You have brought so much joy in my heart this weekend. You have shown me how very real and present You are in my life as I serve You in this SFC ministry. When I first heard the North Carolina Mission Trippossibility of a mission trip to North Carolina just for singles, I immediately felt that You wanted me to go, but certain excuses popped up in my head. The fact that I had already planned ahead of time to go to Georgia the next weekend for a whitewater rafting trip. Two 7 hr. drives in a row was quite daunting to think about. But as the plans for the mission trip started to become more solid, I began to really look forward to it, waiting to see what You were going to bring about. This weekend, my faith at how You Provide, even the smallest details of my wants and desires, was strengthened.

1. When I thought of the fact that we had to drive 2 cars to accommodate the whole team to drive up there as sort of an inefficient way of doing things with the price of gas being quite high, I prayed hard on my way up to JAX that You would touch someone’s heart to provide a van to fit all 6 of us. When I got to Bel’s house, she told me that Sis. Grace and Bro. Phil were gracious enough to lend us their van. You provided.
