“It is not that I have already taken hold of it or have already attained perfect maturity but I continue
my pursuit in the hope that I may possess it, since I have indeed been taken possession of by Christ.” Phil 3:12
Congratulations SFC Florida for winning the CLP Flyer Creative Competition! Awesome work of art by our very own SFCJax household leader, Ariel Reyes, thank you!
After a successful mission, the SFCJax core always talks about doing a watery-hole type celebration. This is not exactly what we had in mind but it was the closest thing to have without asking everyone to spend a fortune. The important thing is to celebrate because there were a lot of reasons to rejoice… Fruitful CLPs, graduations, birthdays and new faces.
Everyone who came said they had a wonderful time. Wish more people could have enjoyed it. But this is definitely not going to be the last. After all, fun is in our vocabulary.
This whole month of June has been an exciting time for CFC Family ministry in Jacksonville. With the help of our spiritual director, Father Rafael, the Christian Life Program (CLP) that recently concluded was a tremendous success!
One of the highlights of this CLP was the simultaneous pray over session which was held during the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on the Feast of St. John Baptist. What a powerful, spirit-filled evening that was.
To all the new members, welcome to the family! As the song goes, we’re glad that you have come to share your life with us. May we always be to you as God would have us be a family always there to be strong and to lean on.
And to all the service team members under the leadership of kuya Raul and ate Jaye, may God richly bless you and your whole family.
Since the Reflection of the Heart (ROH) theme of the month is Rejoice… in the Holy Spirit, SFC led the chapter assembly with great emphasis on the transformation in the power of the Holy Spirit. The SFC couple coordinators gave a mini-talk on the topic and Danny, one of the SFC leaders, did an exhortation and spiritual exercise on yielding to the spirit. This was followed by a very powerful worship. In the past, it’s quite challenging to get new people to share at the assembly. But this Sunday was different. There was no shortage of sharers. Everyone wanted to glorify God. During intermission, the Kids For Christ (KFC) had a presentation on the fruit of the spirit which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
What a glorious Trinity Sunday for the CFC family ministry in Jacksonville it was! May the Holy Spirit continue to empower us in renewing the face of the earth.
“…Behold, I make all things new.”
Inspired by the song “For You Make All Things New” and the second reading from Revelation last Sunday, it providentially became the theme of the recently concluded Christian Life Program this past weekend. Not only did God fill the place with His grace, he filled our hearts and our lives with His love.
There were many testimonies that showed how the Holy Spirit was powerfully moving. As one of our beautiful sisters said, “All the tears in the room spoke volumes.” It was a humbling experience to witness the hand of the Lord at work.
There was no question that God called His people by name. Welcome to the SFC family Michelle, Eric, Wendy, Sherwin and Mel!
Thank you to all the service team members especially to our team leaders: Joe and Ariel, who worked tirelessly in preparing for the CLP. We’re also grateful to our CFC family for praying for us and for supporting us through your generous donation of time, talent and treasure. Special acknowledgement to the following families for feeding us Friday and Saturday: Broadhurst, Cabezas, Sumbeling, Paterno, Navarro and Masinsin. We also appreciate all the prayer warriors all over the world.
We give the honor and glory to God!
Every Christian is challenged, here and now, to be actively engaged in evangelization; indeed, anyone who has truly experienced God’s saving love does not need much time or lengthy training to go out and proclaim that love.
