Congratulations to the North Carolina SFC members (from L to R: Ava, Janice, Tee, Ron, Dianel, Jay, Heidi) for completing the Christian Life Program on May 18, 2008 in Fletcher, NC.
Evangelization is really not about giving talks or singing praise and worship songs or uttering prosaic prayers. It’s definitely not about increasing an organization’s membership tally. As Blessed Mother Teresa once said, “It is not how much we do, but how much love we put in the doing…” For me, sharing God’s love in the most personal way is what touches someone’s heart. I heard how one encountered God through listening to Mozart’s Symphony No. 40. Something that fascinated me was even Joey from the popular sitcom “Friends” can make a positive difference in somebody’s life. So it is a great blessing whenever I can be part of God’s beautiful work of transformation. That’s why I got excited when I heard about the North Carolina SFC mission trip. I didn’t hesitate to sign up when the email went out asking for volunteers. I knew it was a chance to testify how God healed my brokenness. And because God is a miracle worker, He didn’t let the weekend past without revealing His glory to His people. I’m blessed to have witnessed wonders through the generous hearts of Uncle Phil and Auntie Grace, Tito Tony and Tita Veron, the many prayer warriors, the workers behind the scene and the service teams from NC, VA and FL. Most of all seeing our 7 wonderful new SFC members sharing about God’s love in return is ultimately priceless.
May God be praised forever!
